ok reccomendation time:
get the Z_itmc or whatever ITMC tag that has tons of slots. use those and fill them with a ton of weapons
get the h3 banshee and a bunch of random vehicles
that is a decent ce map

^Don't listen to this.... There is no "decent" CE map. You should try to create your own stuff by editing values in eschaton :/

Bobson, congrats on the mod. Is it your first?

You should download HDemoLauncher, which will make it very easy to download and use mods. Then you can see what other mods look like and get some more ideas.

You can publish this mod and others at the HaloDemo.net Mod Database by first registering on the wiki, then requesting to join the modders group so you can upload files. Then you upload your file (more info about how to upload mods) and add it to the Mod Database page.

Let me know if you have more questions about this process over at the HDM forum topic.

IMO bad start. I started with D-Swapping then meta editing in normal tags. Same with Pie, 'cept his first modification was putting a tank in using Hexedit. Look how successful he is.

my first (released) mod was respawning AI. however the first thing I tingled with was bitmap editing.

Oh my God. Please, PLEASE NEVER EVER EVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVER
EVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVER

Fuckin say that EVER Again.

Basics with CE Tags? Don't make me laugh. There are no Basics to stealing CE tags and importing them into your maps. Want to make quality mods? Do it the RIGHT Way. .

IF you MUST make CE crap, do it the right way like my team and I did. Model/Animation importation. The rest is ALL mac. The bitmaps, the effects, all of it.

actually thats a lie. i learned by importing motas and spawning ai's and importing killable shees from SC
the only tut i had to read was that old one by alt about importing string changing skinning ect
