Re: HaloCE (PC) not able to join my HaloMD (Mac) server?

When you say HaloCE (PC), I get a little confused. Do you mean the Windows edition of Halo: Combat Evolved, aka "Halo PC"? Or do you mean Halo: Custom Edition, aka "Halo CE"? http://i.imgur.com/wzlfPkT.png Halo PC and HaloMD can join the same servers. Halo CE and HaloMD cannot join the same servers.

Re: Suuuuuper quick question here

Well, rather than enable all conversions, you could just go back and forth from one version.

MD <=> Demo
MD <=> Full
MD <=> CE

Re: Suuuuuper quick question here

Modzy, you should release a version of Pearl which can freely convert between all versions of Halo!

Re: [WIP] Postgame Carnage Report Chat

Every time I check this forum, my eye tricks me into thinking Altimit01 is the OP of whichever thread is at the top. That bold yellow is so much more eye-catching than regular blue.

Good work, btw.

Re: Proof-of-concept: Edit Halo maps while playing them

Is it possible without having the clients need the same program. In that case, we just have to rely on Halo's netcode and traditional CSS-type edits. There's no way to magically have the other clients know what to do -- we need to communicate with them somehow. In theory, people interested in colla...

If you are the host, CSS changes should work as normal, yeah.

It is if all the editors synchronize, making the same edits at the same time.

We'd basically work around syncing issues by communicating extra information outside the game's netcode.

AI don't sync to begin with, though, so isn't revival syncing a moot point?
