today i just spawned and i somehow teleported and i fell into the void.
lost 3 diamond set of tools because of this.

I think he means that it was a chunk loading error, which he thought was due to lag, so he walked into the hole. In a previous patch, you could do this, and be fine, but appear to warp up and down at high speeds, but now you fall and die.

Happened to me in my mineshaft. However Taxi found my chest at the height limit of where I died, so I managed to claim my items.

i have recently spawned (in real world) and fell and i started reaching the void.

There was a big hole in my house and i walked into it (thought it was lag)

This has happened to me two times before,
lost 2 sets of diamond, 2 stacks of glowstone,

And more.
